Meghan Moorlach - A Flatlanders Interview

Meghan is the founder of a local motorcycle group called The Burnout Babes, a group of like-minded women who share interest in the culture of motorcycle riding. She started riding two summers ago and quickly realized that she didn’t know any other women her age that rode.

“I started The Burnout Babes after I’d seen a couple of girls I know start their own groups in the cities where they lived. It’s really awesome to see so many girls come out of the woodwork who were either too scared to ride or too timid to reach out to other women riders!”

Meghan was born in Kentucky, but her family moved to central Iowa when she was very young. In the years that followed, she attended Drake University in Des Moines and later spent some time living on the east coast.

“In the end, I realized how much I love the place and the people here.”

The Burnout Babes also play a large role in local and national events such as Babes Ride Out and The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride.
